Unless you believe there's some sort of spiritual or emotional link to the sexual act whenever it's done then porn really doesn't make anything degrade.
Think about prostitution. It's been around since the dawn of man and something tells me a lot of these girls in the porn industry would be in that one if the porn industry didn't exist.
