NO, but by dividing the arab (and iran) nations they ensure that there will always be undemocratic religous zealots or corrupted dictators (like the US and the terrorists). Supply of oil is not the issue, its what the country does with the millions they earn from the oil industry. And US dont want rich industrialized democratic countries that uses the money to invest in exporting manufactured goods, this is why the US is piss on Chavez, he does not as the former president invest the oilmoney in mansions for himself or on wall street, he insted builds first world country.
