This while transnational fruitcompany Chiquita (former United Fruit) has been fined by the US justice department for using the services of AUC, one of the right wing paramilitary groups in Colombia who are on the US state department list of foregin terrorist organizations. They are also facing serious charges in a lawsuit from 173 family members of victims of the AUC, the casulties are around 6000 people and it is therefore the biggest terrorism case in history. And no, Chiquita has not been listed as supporting terrorist activities. Where´s your war on terror now?

You also fail to mention that The United Fruit Company's executives had strong ties to the CIA which did a whole bunch of unethical shit in Central America to keep an iron fist over the "Banana Republics" and put a wrench in socialist democracy wherever it took place.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Where do you think the phrase "banana republic" came from?
United Fruit were obviously important for US economy. Those pesky Europeans are not.
Follow the money. Especially when governmental types start throwing whim-words like "terrorism" around.

Don't change these.
