I think their current over-reliance on the migrant worker system is a big issue personally.  Their militarism would come in second.  If they start leaning more of their finances into actually developing their culture rather than thinking about a government system built off nothing but flawed philosophy that completely ignores human nature or about taking back Taiwan etc they can develop into a reasonable country.

It's already been made overly obvious that America isn't exactly perfect either.

And as for everyone shitting themselves over dog food and tires lets just remember that China brings in more imports to America than anyone else.  So lets use logic..  The country that gives us the most goods coincidentally has the most reports of defective goods.  Are we supposed to be surprised?
