It's a big thing for them to support the troops regardless of what mess the country has them in.
Also, most Christian denominations consider the Jews the Chosen People, and they think we're defending the Jews by taking on Iraq.
Also, we're fighting the heathens, this is attractive to evangelicals.
But, as someone mentioned. Many Christians aren't for the war, but are to afraid to be considered unpatriotic if they say anything.

Why is it you'll believe that Islam is a religion of peace and that terrorists are just mistaken in their beliefs but can only find base motives for Christians?
whoa. start by taking all generalizations out of this thread...

It's not "Christians" who support the war in Iraq. It's people from all walks of life who for some reason or other feel that the war is just or good or whatever. Personally I just want to let bygones be bygones, develope the electric car so that we can pull out of the Middle East and let the radicals get back to killing each other in stead of us, and then kick back and read my books whilst enjoying three healthy meals a day.

Wrong -- only conservatives support the war, and they do it because they are really scared or terrorists (people with rags on their heads) and wouldn't be able to sleep at night otherwise.
Of course -- they don't care about the war at the moment -- at the moment they are deadly afraid of Corean kids.

Really...only "Conservatives" support the war? What exactly does a "conservative" look like? The political climate of the U.S. presently has left a large bulk of the voters willing to swing either way (or not vote at all). Would you classify them as either "Liberal" or "Conservative". The bipartisan lables are inventions of a media system that is motivated more by profit than morals or politics. Do you want to know what the politicians really are? Oligarchs. They beleive in a socioty ruled by the people with the most money and ergo the best access to power. Don't believe me? Look for a senator who makes less than $60,000 a year.
It's not Jewkind, it's Mankind. There arn't secret meetings where ethnic groups get together and plot for world domination. There are just a bunch of assholes who feel they have something in common (usually the love of money and/or power).
1. God supports the idea that wealthy people are rich because they are faithful and honest.
2. God supports the death penalty for some, but not all the crimes mentioned in the Bible that God specifically said should be crimes punishable by death.
3. God supports "liberating" other countries against the will of the citizens.
4. God opposes the "inhumane" killing of unborn babies.
5. God opposes communism (opposes equality).
"All that believed were together, and had all things in common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need."
(Acts 2:44-45)
"There was not a needy person among them, for as many as owned lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold. They laid it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need. There was a Levite, a native of Cyprus, Joseph, to whom the apostles gave the name Barnabas (which means “son of encouragement”). He sold a field that belonged to him, then brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet."
(Acts 4:34-37)

Religion is a gigantic fag, and that is all that needs to be said. Right back to the Holy Crusades Religion has been the cause of trouble. Yet for some reason it commands respect? WTF?
If I killed my next door neighbor in the name of religion would it be correct? No. So how is any of this conflict?
To me, things are simple: Religion's followers are weak, insecure fools, and religions leaders are simply madmen exploiting their position.

Most people are conformist fags, some are conformist atheist, christians, buddhists, socialist, econazis, libnazis, neoconnazis, nazis, etc.
People are conformist fags, cept logical people who realize all these groups are great for a t-shirt company or other cheap merchandise, or anything. They are easy to form and exploit, like play dough.

god not evil. god just has an awesome sense on humor we dont understand. yet.
Right back to the Holy Crusades Religion has been the cause of trouble.
It goes back a whole lot further than that, mate.
I don't blame religion though. People just like to believe that there's something divine out to rationalize their urge to kill the other guy, take his land, and fuck his women.
>>22 thank you... its not Christians its everybody. >>16 well put. its not a religious war... it is protecting and oil investment >>30 God CREATED Communism in its purest form. why would he oppose it? but it is in the eyes of those "people" so well put... i guess >>31 How is god evil if he has only done good? and if you are an evolutionist/ atheist why are you acknowledging Gods presence?
If you dont like religion then i dont care... but stop posting these moronic (to say the least) threads about how you "hate religion and so should everybody else"
it is your 'idi'ology

No, Karl Marx created Communism, "God" created sharing, which is totally gay.
I don't hate religion, I pity anyone who joins one, you give up so much for a little false security and ignorant happiness.
also "God" is in quotes because he doesn't exist.
