"Once again, this tragedy reminds us that we must ban violent videogames, violent movies, guns, alcohol, and a few other risque things to force the largest amount of people possible to become upstanding moral citizens. If we do that, these incidents will drastically decrease. If we don't, we are merely sacrificing random people in the future to continue pursuing our carnal desires."
So, I'm not sure if I believe this should be done or not, but doubtlessly, it would save lives to ban stuff to the point where someone who was a teenager would be so sensitized to violence that they would be shocked by the simple sight of it. However, I am also one of the nuts who wants to continue pursuing my carnal desires, so I don't want to give up my violent vidya games and movies and such, even though I know I should to save lives. But just like the rest of the people in our society, I want to try to rationalize it away so I can keep my carnal desires.
