Banning guns will never work, just like the War on Drugs won't.  Both ventures are destined to fail, and only feed a festering black market, while at the same time disarming the law-abiding and preventing them from using the most effective means of self-defense.

1.) You cant take away guns. it is protected by the constitution. automobiles kill more every year than shootings. but at least a gun has a safety switch.
2.) You cannot determine the state of a child's mind because it is "nurture over nature." so randomly killing babies might not be the best route. if you were to kill all those who abuse children in any way. that would not lead to as many screwed up minds. and thus you have a better society.
