One thing about free trade, is we don't have it right now, PARTICULARLY in our dealings with foreign nations, with all the tariffs we have, it comes as little surprise that Developing nations become chained to the whims of the Industrialized nations, as WTO financing mandates that they abolish any protective tariffs of their own.  Neo-mercantilism is what we have right now, unless someone can explain to me why US exports to the third world pay no tariffs, while the third world imports get fucking crushed under our protective tariffs.

Another is the obvious favoritism, goods from Britain have 1/20th the tariff from somewhere like Bangladesh.

It has very little to do with the economic system used and even in this subject a high level of economic freedom is preferable to state control.
