So I was talking with someone I know the other day, and during the conversation, I felt an itch in my crotch-area and gave it a good scratch. The person I was talking to told me that I should stop doing that because I might get hit with a sexual harassment suit.
I said this was stupid. If I am sitting in my private home, there is no reason why I shouldn't be able to scratch any part of my body (such as my crotch), whenever I want to, as long as doing so does not cause physical harm to another person. Likewise, if I am sitting in a private building owned by someone else (like a businessman, for example), and he says I can scratch my crotch while in his private establishment, and I want to scratch my crotch, I should be allowed to do so provided I am not causing physical harm to another person or their property.
To this, the person I was talking to said that other people in the building might find this activity of mine 'offensive.' To this, I have to say: "Who owns the building?" If it is ok with that person, and he will allow me to do it, and said activity is not harming others physically, I should be allowed to do it. It is entirely within my legitimate lawful rights to scratch my crotch in a private establishment as long as doing so doesn't harm another person, and provided it is permitted by the establishment owner. It is my body and I can do what I want with it.

I figure you have two choices. You can either allow men to scratch their crotches in public, or you can let the itch build up until the guy is squirming around in his seat grunting and trying to use the fabric of his pants to scratch the itch. Personally, I think if you were viewing the second and didn't know what was going on, it'd be the more offensive of the two.
