There is legislation being introduced in the senate that could amend the Real ID act in a positive way.

Its the same thing as a drivers license only it works for every state...

(1) You have to memorize all 50 ID cards from different states.
(2) One ID card.

It makes it harder for people to make fake drivers licenses or for fugitives to drive around in other states.
