Your question is invalid since most "geeks" are LOL JEWS DID WTC AMERIKKKA fagtards.

Geeks are smarter and realize the superiority of the right wing.

Geeks are insecure and socially withdrawn, and so adopt an aggressive stance. Think Napoleon complex.
Although I'd really have to dispute the premise of this topic, because I don't think geeks can be counted as a monolithic bloc, unlike, say, rural Georgia small-town fundies.

From experience most socially withdrawn geeks tend to join the liberal crowd, read marx and claim to be anarchists.
Geeks who are legitimate intelligent geeks who have spend a lot of time in the library studying, never fail to do homework, do their coursework near perfectly, will get into a good university and become the leaders in technology in the future tend to be right leaning moderates.
Liberals enjoy coming up with unbased psychological assumptions about geeks, but they should really look themselves in the mirror.

That is some incredible irony. Seriously, incredible.
This thread fails. Most true geeks I know are libertarian or downright anarchists(mostly right wing anarchist types like anarcho-capitalism). Some geeks may turn towards left-wing, but it's not choice for learned types typically. All Geeks are strongly anti-authoritarian and prioritize personal freedoms over everything else. Afterall their odd and often very perverted lifestyles require that. The fact that all geeks love to learn and discover new things also adds to their love of personal freedoms.

Those aren't geeks. They're just trolls(who are often geeks, but in case of trolling they don't usually express their true opinion) and actual real conspiracy nuts. Geeks are those often ultra fat or thin and smelly guys who stay at their computers 24/7 doing all sorts of things that geeks do. You know the hacker and coder types. Ones who keep all the warez and porn flowing. You can see them at scifi and anime conventions. Subtypes of geeks include weeaboos, partly social geeks as well as stupid geeks who fail at even being geeky.

Liberals according to real meaning of word and European definition, but not according to modern American meaning.

They have never developed a sense of self and follow along with their parent's beliefs.
Based on your rationale, you'd be a liberal, then. Your whole rant was basically what you stated to be an "unbased psychological assumptions about geeks." Do you even know what that means, or did you just grab a thesaurus and type?
Of course, since your argument made no sense and was incorrect based on my experiences and apparently those of other posters in this thread, I can't classify you, even though based on what you tried to imply in your failed attempt, you must be a Republican.
Why don't you actually go out and meet people before making these assumptions, as opposed to remaining a shutin, and making these assumptions based on what blogs or television tells you.
Aren't going to miss any social freedoms if you take them away.
Are usually middle class/wealthy.

Geeks need social freedoms in a different ways than normal people. Freedom of speech is most important thing to many geeks and they defend it fiercely. Geeks obviously want internet to stay free and thus they need social freedoms to ensure that. Now social security is something geeks don't care about. They're often from rich families and well educated.

How am I a liberal? What is so difficult to understand about the term "psychological assumptions"? You are assuming anyone with geeky attributes is a social outcast and a conservative. Don't you think that's a little unreasonable?
Like the OP I presented my observations and added to the conversation by making the distinction between geeks who are socially outcast and geeks who are "geeky" by choice. There is nothing wrong with me making observations just because you disagree with me. You think all geeks are socially outcast conservatives, fine. Well listen to my observation.
From my experience at university.. Those studying something which is actually useful, such as chemical engineering, exhibit geeky attitudes because they are preoccupied with studying and working. Those majorring in something worthless, such as sociology, exhibit similiar geeky attitudes except they don't spend much time studying, tend to be rude (like you) and are the types who try to create anarchy/diversity/socialist clubs.

Geeks are libertarians. Just take a look at 4chan. Also geeks are almost always social outcasts and pedos or just general perverts.

Most of the Geeks I know are liberals, not libertarians.
Maybe that shouldn't be surprising. Liberals and libertarians differ on an economic axis, not on personal freedom.
"Left" and "right" are rather vague.

I dont see how social outcasts would be conservative. They would want the society to change so they wouldn't be outcast

Since when did majors suddenly have intrinsic worth? And if they did, how come you know what they are?
The reason "geeks" tend to be conservative is because their strengths (science and math) tends to imply they are logic and efficient, and they like to see those things in systems. Conservative ideas fulfill those needs.
He's probably a chemical engineer (or more likely wishes he were one). He's probably just sore that he couldn't get into a decent school to major as one, though, because there were far too many people that were better. He's probably equally as pissed in knowing that there are sociology majors even in the more competitive schools, probably even the ones that rejected him. He probably believes that he deserves those spots instead of the sociology majors as well.
Even state community colleges teach chemical engineering courses, it's not much of an accomplishment.

Now why would geeks subscribe to an ideology that would cause them to have to work harder and longer hours to compete in the less regulated work market and thus give them less time to do geeky things like play videogames and watch animu. If anything, they should be total socialists so they dont have to work at all!

Cause in socialist society there wouldn't be animu because there wouldn't be commercial entertainment. Geeks aren't stupid and realize that there is society beyond their house(or basement...), they just don't like to associate with it much. Socialism would also FORCE them to work for real in the end. Socialism is not same as social security. Also geeks love all kinds of porn, guns and other things socialists would be first to ban. Also not all geeks are failures at making money. Many are in fact highly educated and make bigger bucks than most non-geeks. Many geeks have also their own businesses like commercial websites or computer/gaming stores. Some geeks are libertarians just because they love personal freedom, but for some it's also about defending their economical interests. Socialist geeks exist, but they're part of big and very diverse anarchist kind that includes both left and right wing geeks. Geeks aren't politically very united, but one thing that unites all geeks is love of freedom and liberty. Authoritarian geeks simply don't exist. Perhaps some could consider it odd considering their often simple lifestyles, but you have to realize that freedom applies also to interweb which is where most geeks truly live.

You don't realize that an authoritarian could mandate anything, such as that everyone must worship Japan and watch 20 hours of animu a week.
