How am I a liberal? What is so difficult to understand about the term "psychological assumptions"? You are assuming anyone with geeky attributes is a social outcast and a conservative. Don't you think that's a little unreasonable?
Like the OP I presented my observations and added to the conversation by making the distinction between geeks who are socially outcast and geeks who are "geeky" by choice. There is nothing wrong with me making observations just because you disagree with me. You think all geeks are socially outcast conservatives, fine. Well listen to my observation.
From my experience at university.. Those studying something which is actually useful, such as chemical engineering, exhibit geeky attitudes because they are preoccupied with studying and working. Those majorring in something worthless, such as sociology, exhibit similiar geeky attitudes except they don't spend much time studying, tend to be rude (like you) and are the types who try to create anarchy/diversity/socialist clubs.
