Stop using rhetoric

So why do politicians, when speaking about "The American People" or "The X People" think they're talking about some omniscient all-seeing godlike collective that cannot do or say any wrong, when in fact any people in any nation, when you round them up, tend to be mindless fat hypocritical lowest common denominator alcohol-swilling, sitcom-watching, consumer whoring do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do retardrones.

They act as if what the majority of any such body thinks should actually be seen as important or relevant. The only people who would be impressed by such brown-nosing are too dumb to operate a voting machine and those who aren't idiots can see exactly what they're doing enough to be disgusted by their base appeals of human bottomfeeding. Anyone who appeals to the general public using phrases like "I think the AMERICAN PEOPLE agree that...," "the AMERICAN PEOPLE want us to...," automatically lose a large amount of credibility in my mind.

The same reason all the world's problems exist.

The fact that flattery is useful is the same reason why people commit crime. Because people are not morally rightseous omniscient beings and will succumb to flattery. There is nothing that can change this and if you were dictator you would commit crimes like every other dictator before you.

Just be glad politicians aim to please "the people" and not some minority in control of everything.

Welcome to individualism, as for the rest of the world, they'll certain never get to that point, so your best bet would be to do what I do and consider them to be already dead and merely ghosts living out a shell of a life without meaning or care of the lack of it.

Should I answer that or were you just speaking to yourself?

Same reason they use phrases like 'USA wants X', 'France wants Y', as if country's citizens were connected in a giant hive mind and government policy decided by it. France, yeah. USA no.

I think the 4chan people can agree that the general public and the american people are largely comprised of retards.

In defense of the general public i say -- Even though the collective idealology of a population is unbalanced at best, are these so called heads of state from this unbalanced mess?

Don't change these.
