Prostitution should be legal.

Prostitution could be regulated, taxed, and controlled better if it was to be legalized. The government could gain a substantial amount of money from taxing prostitution, help cut down on rape/violence involving prostitutes, and reduce the number of hookers with STDs. Usually, a prostitute's mistress's word is law to them, meaning all sorts of things. If the government ran whore houses instead of lowlife dominatrixes, then prostitutes (and their customers) would be much better off. Some mistresses force their girls to fuck customers raw, increasing the risk of getting an STD or even becoming pregnant, which can negatively affect many more people. There's nothing that can be done about this since it is a shady and illegal business right now.

Prostitution may not be pathetic, but at least we can try to profit off of it. Right?

America needs to get rid of its retarded "morals" where people think that because something is immoral it should be illegal. Drugs are immoral, therefore they should be illegal! Prostitution is immoral, therefore it should be illegal!

Take a hint from prohibition (or plenty of other sources), you CANNOT govern morality. The only laws that should exist should be to stop people from causing other people physical or emotional pain without their consent. Theft, assault, murder, rape, etc.
