The Hidden Health Care Tax

Excessive regulation of this industry costs the average family 1500$/year.  Since the government doesn't take the money out of your pocket outright, most people don't notice the negative economic effects of overregulation.  We can lower health care costs by lowering regulation, and the costs that it brings.

A family loses $5000 a year from being stuck in gridlock traffic, but I guess they fucking chose to be stuck on the turnpike.

People probably waste a hell of a lot more money on shitty food that will kill them eventually, perhaps we should ban the USDA and CDC so they can waste their money more frugally.

They don't have to have medical care either, thats what dietary supplements are for.  In addition, you can probably find a doctor that doesn't happen to recieve too many freeloaders, who has a lower fee than big hospitals do.

Regulation is different from those because it's forced on people. Being stuck in gridlock and eating shitty food isn't.

Of course regulation that preserves justice is necessary, but some of the bullshit the government has going on just makes me want to shoot myself in the face. Most drugs are illegal even though they are MEDICINE and people should be able to just get them over the counter. If they are afraid people might use them to sell to children or whatever, they could just only permit people to buy them in small quantities or something.

Yes.

Yes, exactly.  Government is overregulating our lives.  Things that were once personal decisions or else simply between a private individual and his doctor are now between the government, possibly some bureaucrats, who the hell knows how many regulations and rules, and the person's doctor.  In the case of medicine, as the article >>1 shared display, many of these government regulations increase the cost of medical care unnecessarilly.

Here's a rather interesting little video on government regulation:

I think we should go back to a more voluntary, more free society, in which we put these decisions back in the hands of the people.
