Simply put, the draft (involuntary servitude to the state) is inconsistent with the principles of a free society. People should not be forced to run around on overseas military adventures because a handful of corrupt politicians believe that it is their duty to die for the middle east.
You should never be obliged to die for a geographical location you where born in, or fund such endeavors. But dont mistake this as passivism, their are times that you need to die for ideals (revolutionary war, war of 1812, war in afganistan, pacific theater of WW2 ext)

Furthermore, the draft has proven to be less effective than a volunteer service. A volunteer army tends to be better trained and more dedicated than a conscripted army. Conscription should only take place in the event of serious invasion of the homeland.
