Real ID act takes effect in May 2008

WTF!

"anyone without the card would not be permitted to board an airplane, amtrak train, open a bank account, or enter a federal building"

" the bill mandates that all driver's licenses contain 'common readable technology' "

"a radio frequency identification (RFID) chip will be used"

I ordered the actual DVD from amazon.  Can't wait to get it!

If anyone else is interested, here's the link:

RFID is severly broken.  In fact, there are many states with legislation that prohibits the requirement of computer chips for identification, and I'm pretty sure there's federal legislation, too.  Didn't this get shot down months ago?

I'll watch the vid and do some research after finals (taking a 15 minute break from studying right now), but I'm pretty sure this has already been cancelled.

"I'm pretty sure this has already been cancelled."

I HOPE you are right, but I THINK you are wrong.  I thought I heard somewhere a while back that it passed.  I'm interested to hear what you find - whether it passed or not.  Enjoy the video.

Having lived around Christians all of my miserable life, I've heard all of the stories about the Anti-Christ (especially in relation to this very sort of thing).

But when Bush does the same shit, all of Christendom loves him for it, and all of his little lost lambs call those who openly question him "liberal" and "traitor".

If anyone other than Bush had set up these same schemes, what would the Christians call that kind of leader?

Democraps are planning similar schemes and so called "liberals" are creating groundwork(big goverment) for it without even knowing that they'e doing it.

If this happens, do not carry it, ever. Just ignore the law altogether, take whatever punishments may come, but never, ever take the card with you. Civil disobedience is our strongest chance, and ignoring worked for Prohibition. Protest like mad. Riot, march, do whatever it takes to make your point known. Write congress. Daily. And if you absolutely must bring your card, wrap it in tinfoil or put it in a metal box, this makes tracking you more difficult. Also, an interesting thing from wikipedia:

"There is disagreement about whether the Real ID Act institutes a "national identification card" system. The new law only sets forth national standards, but leaves the issuance of cards and the maintenance of databases in state hands; therefore, it is not a true "national ID" system, and may even forestall the arrival of national ID."

The good thing about this is your state can opt out or just kind of be lazy about it if they don't like it. "As of April 26, 2006, a bill in the New Hampshire Senate that would keep NH out of the real ID act has passed committee. The bill had previously passed the NH House."

So, that could help a lot. We might dodge this police state bullet yet.

Lol at libertarians who voted for Bush. Not that they should have voted for Kerry...

At least he would have probably vetoed this. And at least he would be worried about reelection so he wouldn't go on a kamikaze rampage like Bush is doing.

Kerry might have, but I'm somewhat doubtful.  Kerry did, after all, support the Patriot Act.  The democrats have been trying to convince the public that they are tough on terrorism and good on national security.  I could easilly see Kerry passing it and trying to push the story on the media to make himself look better in the eyes of the public.  Don't believe me? Kerry probly doesn't support the Ntl. ID, yes, but I think he would have passed it anyways because he likes to pander for votes.  I don't support gun control.  Kerry does, but just look how he ACTED prior to the election (his little hunting trip with photo ops comes to mind) - to try to attract the gun rights vote.  Of course we already mentioned that he supported the Patriot Act to look tough on terror, and he also claimed he personally dissaproved of gay marriage, even though he claimed opposition to the constitutional amendment relating to marriage.  Clearly Kerry is willing to compromise on his issues to get elected, and I wouldn't put it pass him to have supported the ntl. ID legislation in order to look tough on terrorism and get votes.

Also, Kerry has his own many faults outside of his POSSIBLE* dissagreement with RFID that rule him out as a candidate to vote for.  The 04 election is a classic example of an election year to vote 3rd party, as both major candidates sucked hard.

I know, I never said I liked him, Kerry's an ass. But yeah, I guess he probably would've let this fly, especially since it was tacked on to a homeland security bill which is why it passed so easily. But, every politician panders for votes, perhaps not to such a degree but they all do. Congress is fucking crazy, basically.

ACtually I change my mind. I would love to have kerry's balls jiggling up and down in my mouth, pressing his scrotum on the roof of my mouth to suck the salty sweat off. Belissimo!

That FTF video is full of shit, please tell me you understand that.  Some of what it says may actually be true, but I hate it when crazy lefties throw their dumbass arguments at issues I care about; their zeal makes them put out false and distorted info to get the argument across, which causes everyone to dismiss the arguments entirely.

Maybe that's what they're trying to do. Remember Jews like liberal domestic policy and conservative foreign policy. Jews are extremely crafty, probably every conspiracy you can think of has already been listed and analysed by the jews, they are always one step ahead. New taste coca cola as a marketting campaign? Jews did that. Think about it.

The solution is not to outwit the jews, but to simply do what they don't want you to do. It is one thing to predict what a person may do and use that the control them in an economical manner but you will never have complete control over someone.
