Why do so many people hate Jews?

I'm asking in all seriousness, I want to know just what the fuck is up with the Jews and the people who hate them.

Why exactly do they care about one shitty piece of land with absolutely no natural resources so much?  If they really believe God created the entire world then any piece of land should be just as holy as any other, promised or not.

Why are there so many nations that refuse to accept that Isreal exists or has a right to exist?  Really, why the fuck do they even care?  If it's about the 'holy land' that has absolutely no value whatesoever then they can go fuck themselves.  If it's something else, please explain.

Oh, and to address the 'holy land' question: Yes, it is an important factor, mostly because religion is a vital part of the Jewish and Arab cultures.  It isn't, however, the only factor.

Try to understand it by analogy.  Assuming you're American, let's say you live in Southern California and you're just barely making a living.  Now let's say the Mexican immigrants in Southern California are actually enormously wealthy and want to live in California because it used to be a part of Mexico 200 years ago before the Americans came.  Now let's say the U.S. government doesn't particularly like you, allows these immigrants to buy up all your farmland, kicks you off your farm because you were technically just renting it from the U.S., and then the UN comes and says the Mexicans might as well just have the whole southern half of California even though they make up only about 30% of the population.

Wouldn't you be pissed off?  Maybe that doesn't excuse the actions of the Palestinians and other Arab nations, but I hope that helps you understand the situation somewhat better.
