Bush Pros:
Lower taxes HAVE aided economic growth. (Counterpoint: It is difficult to say precisely just how direct a relationship this is)
Bush Cons:
Enormous spending increases will inevitably force increases in interest rates and a weakening of the dollar.  Both will tend to slow the economy down. (Counterpoint: This will happen like 10 years from now, so, as usual, no one will ever make the connection between his policies and the recession we will face)

They aid economic "growth" by increasing the GDP, but the only people who see more money in their pockets are the super rich, those who benefit from the tax cuts to start new investments.

Problem these days is they invest overseas, fucking the rest of Americans.

On the other hand, Republican Presidents have NEVER, EVER, EVER cut social program benefits, they've only cut taxes, and try to tell us that 2-1 = 2, when they know all too well that cutting social programs would mean political suicide.  This leads to an overall trend in the debt soaring.  And to make it even more fun, much of that debt is owed to foreign nations, and what we pay now (15/100 cents to the dollar)isn't even paying the fucking INTEREST on our debt.

To be frank, what I think America needs now is higher taxes, huge benefit cuts, and an end to the war in Iraq.  We can't ignore this debt, no matter how smart trickle down economics is, America will have to pay the piper.

FIRST ---- Prove that the economy is ruined. THEN --- you can piss and moan about how he did it. What is truth?

Debt is up, dollar is down, and once you adjust the Nasdaq and Dow Jones for inflation, they're down (!) too. Not "ruined", but not exactly stellar either.

And just wait when that debt finally comes calling. Ouch.

Name: Anonymous 2006-11-18 3:19

And who'll collect the debt? We'll just invade his country and that'll be that.

Name: Anonymous 2006-11-19 14:06

We pay more interest on our debts every year than the total cost of the War in Iraq to date.  It kinda sucks ass.

the war is going to cost all of use.  to vote for war is to vote for a tax increase too.  saddly the middle and lower class is going to pay for it while the rich elite get a free ride

G. Bush looks like a used condom

America was created by lazy white people who couldn't abuse people where they came from so they went somewhere else and abused the people there.

You can leave our evil civilisation and return to Zambia whenever you want. Why haven't you done so?

Name: Anonymous 2007-01-02 17:10

The economy is only doing good in the stock market. The numbers are high? So what. Look outside at actual businesses.

Ironically, you've proved his point. While there hasn't been a major tax increase on the middle class during Bush's administration (so far), the current state of the economy is paid for by borrowing money, especially in the face of the current large expeditures, such as the "war" and compensation for the tax cuts that he has also made for members of higher tax brackets with the justification of the so-called proven track record of Reaganomics.

Imagine you were constantly in debt, so you borrowed money from someone, and when the time came to pay him back the money, you just borrowed it from someone else, and so on. Sooner or later you're going to have to pay all of it back with your own money. It's the same general concept.

What Bush (and almost all other politicians) know is that most Americans will only notice something of salience to them at the moment. If one day you realized that a larger chunk of money was being forked over to the government for taxes (assuming you pay taxes currently), you'd be angry, and you'd think the economy was doing bad. This current administration is providing you with a "stable economy" at the moment, paid for through borrowing. Sooner or later that money is going to have to be paid back through raised taxes, and Bush is hoping that it won't happen on his watch.

Passing the buck is what politicians do best, some much better than others (like Bush). But sooner or later the buck stops, and usually it stops at the taxpayers doorsteps in the form of letter from the IRS.

If America's so good, and everything America does is right, then aren't you willing to die fighting to defend the validity of its actions.

You can leave our great civilizarion and go to Iraq to defend these actions.

What does that say about your company's profit? Offices often put in amenities as in investments, because they believe that the expense will pay for itself in either employee morale or increased efficiency.

Now if you got a bonus or a pay raise, that's a different story, but you also have to take into consideration the current state of the industry that your company is part of, your company's performance in relation to other companies in the industry, etc.

If Bush had made one war (Afgan OR terror) in stead of three (Afgan, Iraq, "terror"), then the economy would be "okay".

>But your President is a moron, spending ½ of your tax on bombs and guns.

Bush got in the office by sucking Clinton's dick

Bush had secret photos of him at a transvestite wine bar doing the cabaret.

Don't change these.
