Canada is the like the U.S.A's Taiwan.
We didn't successfully take it over back when we tried, and after a long seperation, there's really not much chance to take it back without pissing everybodyelse off. But when we look at a map, it's existance pisses us off, because it reminds us that we couldn't get it in the first place (and besides Alaska just looks out of place).
But overall, the world is a better place with Canada, just like it's an even better place with Taiwan. Because both places provide the world with a mirror-land of a great super power, that is both culturally and linguisticly similar, yet politically separate and independent.
Imagine what the Civil War would have been like if the Underground Railroad couldn't have gotten slaves up to Canada, where they would be safe from Extradition.
Thank you Canada, for existing. You makes US a better place.
