Your stance on illegal aliens

First, let me give you some background on my situation. My parents came to this country, illegally, and brought me along. I was only like 2-3 years old at the time, so I had no say in the matter. Needless to say, my life has been so fucked up ever since I turned 16. For all of the people around me, turning 16 meant getting a drivers license and a job. Me? I couldn't do either. Two years later, graduation. For everyone else, it's off to a university. Me? Crappy community college because I wasn't accepted into any universities as a result of my status.

I feel like my life is on hold because of all the limitations that are imposed upon me. I know that some of you are probably asking, "Why don't you go back to your country?", but I feel like this IS my country. I've lived here practically my whole life and know no other way of life. To tell you the truth, I think I'd be so lost and depressed if I were to be taken away from the way of life that I've grown accustomed to.

I'll be the first to admit that my parents were wrong for coming here illegally. They broke the law. It wasn't fair for them to skip ahead of all of those people that were trying to get here legally. But at the same time, the system that is in place right now is so fucked up that if I were in the same situation, I'd probably do the same thing. The long waiting period, the ridiculous amount of money needed, all the paper work who even the people who wrote it probably don't understand. It's all fucked up.

So, what's your opinion on this whole thing? Are you against the presence of illegal aliens, for it, or just don't give a fuck?

I feel the plight of those immagrating to the US, but it doesn't excuse their methods. Running across the border is a punch in the face to those who go through the process to get in legally.

Illegal immagrents dont take the jobs from americans per se, but they create an environment where jobs such as landscaping are made suchlow paying jobs that they are given to those who are willing to work for pennies on the dollar for long hours because companies know that's their only option. Companies need to be given harsher punishments for not properly checking the background of their workforce. Americans would do those jobs if they paid well, but since immagrents are willing to work for so little, there's no incentive to make them higher paying jobs.
