Iran's quest for neuclear power

Name: thatoneguy 2006-09-21 14:41

Lately Iran has been in the news quite a bit with their desire for peacefull neuclear power. Can someone tell me why the western world should trust a ccuntry as unstable as Iran with neuclear power? They clearly do not want neuclear power for peacefull purposes, if they did then they would have accepted the United State's offer to supply Iran with reactor fuel. The simple fact of the matter is that Iran cannot be trusted with neuclear power. They are too much of a risk, not only to the U.S., but to the rest of the world. When the leader of a nation states that another nation has no right to exist and should be "wiped off the face of the world" they simply cannot be trusted with neuclear capabilities.

>>3 Its not a matter of self defense, its a matter of global security. Its just like back in the cold war, remember MAD? Yeah i dont know about you but the world doesnt need the threat of neuclear annihilation again.

no one has the balls to ever actually use a nuclear weapon now that everyone else has one. not even the bat shit insane iranians. only reason we could have ver gotten away with bombing japan is because we knew there would be no equal retaliation.

fuck, why dont we just give them a few of our nukes? it'd lighten the load of maintaining them all, plus iran would prolly be greatful for the raw material for their supposed nuclear power plants.

Name: Anonymous 2006-09-23 1:53

>>8 ill agree with you that no one has the balls to use nukes anymore, but still i dont want to take that chance with the middle east, as unstable as it is.

Name: Anonymous 2006-09-23 1:57

yes id like to give Iran a few of our nukes.

Fucking Ahmalamadingdong, walking around being all charming and eloquent, killing intellectuals left and right while attacking America for being all "extremist". One of these days I'm gonna wrestle him to the ground and spunk in his beard.

I'm not sure about how you hate fundamentalist muslims or if you have the balls to begin wrestling someone let alone take him down. However I believe that you would spunk in his beard.

Name: Anonymous 2006-09-23 14:20

>>12 he is also a fucking moron, who the fuck can deny the Holocaust in this day and age. Seriously, its fine if you hate jews, well not fine but it is becoming more socially acceptable, but to deny the massacare of millions of people, not only jews but all sorts of people, is just wrong.

You guys aren't using your big brains here. First of all: The middle east has been unstable for a very long time due to the, heh, "nuances" of American Foreign Policy. Things are the way they are there because it will make the life of the average American citizen much easier. (We don't need extra people consuming all of our shit that we rightfully stole!) - So, the muhajahdeen, the mullas, ahmalamadingdong, saddam, all that this = us keeping the middle east uneducated and unstable.

Second: In the last 14 years the death toll from the jewish genocides has gone from 12 million, to 8 million, to six and now...four is it? There is room for doubt as far as the holocaust is concerned and my main reason for saying this isn't because of any anti-semitism or some mind blowing facts that I've gleaned from anyone rants or reasearch. It's the simple fact that the powerful in the jewish community go to such great lengths to suppress anyone that questions the validity of certain facts pretaining to the holocaust. Where there's smoke, there is usually fire.

Third: Alot of politicans, say alot of things. I think we need to keep in mind where the middle east is right now and what even our own politicans have drum beaten about, lately. Talk isn't action. For all we know, Iran-Syria-Libya could already have nukes...why do you people automatically assume your governments and the general media just aren't lying to you or at the very least are just as ignorant as you are?

You act as if, all the parties involved (Governments of the Middle East, The west) have nothing to gain by riling people up with lies, hate-rhetoric and fear mongering.

>>15 Things are the way they are there because it will make the life of the average American citizen much easier.

And it's advantageous to the US to have millions of roused rabble, possibly with nukes, aiming for our throat?

They don't need nuclear power, they have tons of oil and they are corrupt so there is no way they care about global warming and conservation.

Name: Anonymous 2006-09-24 16:21

>>17 No shit. With the billions they must have in oil money you would think bush could just trade em a nuke and end the whole "oil crisis" in america.

How about not making up shit for YOUR own convenience? The estimates haven't changed. The Nazis murdered about 6 million Jews, and about 12 million civilians in total. (Jews, Gypsies, Poles, gays, political prisoners, etc.) Nice try of attempting to confuse people by citing th 6M and 12M figures.

You sound like Rush Limbaugh when he whines "Those liberals can't get their numbers straight about ___(insert issue)__. First they say it's ___ much, then they say it's ____ much." Limbaugh's arguments sound convincing to people who don't consider the possibility that he's pulling so-called quotes out of his ass. Anyone with half a brain, however, isn't convinced by obvious BS from the likes of him or you.

>>15 "Seriously, its fine if you hate jews, well not fine but it is becoming more socially acceptable"

Among bigots and in the 4chan politics board, perhaps. Particularly given the obviously large intersection of the two sets.

Name: Anonymous 2006-09-27 14:11

>>19 agreed. it is total bullshit that someone can try to deny the death of 12 million people. the whole fucking world was at war then, how the fuck do you miss something like that.

>>19 oh well at least there is one sensable person here.

Name: Anonymous 2006-09-27 14:45

So you hate the nazis for killing 6 million jews, but you love Stlain and Mao when they kill a total of 60 million non-jews and you expect me not to hate you?

Sure some jews are not assholes (though only because a newly born jew hasn';t been indoctrinated into being an asshole yet), however most jews are assholes. And no, I'm not a nazi or an extremist muslim. I think Jews are as bad as nazis and extremist muslims to put things in perspective. I think jewish parents should be prosecuted for their crimes and jewish children put into care or set up for adoption.

Stalin would give Hitler a thorough beating in 1 on 1 unarmed combat. However Hitler's most hardcore follower would beat the shit out of Stalin's, bear in mind both of their elite body guards would be hugely fucking tough.

Iran is a bit... Unpredictable. I actually look forward to Iran getting nukability and the world hitting global peak oil. Not because I hate "the materialistic, imperialist west with all its *cosumption* and *profit*" but because then the push will come to shove and we will be forced to sort ourselves out or perish. I mean, if you ask people like Mark Steyn Europe is already lost to Islam, and while he has a good notion regarding the cowardly way we deal Islam, I have serious doubts America has what it takes to deal with it either - the war on terror kind of exhibits that. Guess it will come to nukes. Thank fuck I live in Sweden.

Name: Anonymous 2006-09-28 12:45

>>26 agreeed. but saying iran is unperdictable is a bit of an understatement, don't ya think?

Name: Xel 2006-09-28 13:13

>>25 Well, I think it can't be trusted that far. The problem with Islamism is that you get enemies no matter what you do - either your culture is seen as offensive or spreading into your territory via airwaves, or some of your capitalist offshoots gets in their eyes. I mean, getting rid of Mossadegh was silly, imperialist and vile, the invasion of Afghanistan was a joke, and attacking Iraq (of all Muslim nations) fucked any credibility America had regarding it's capacity for strictly acting in self-defense. I mean, the left is quite lousy at targetting even obviously unacceptable actions of muslims, but there was no sense of strategic, moral, ethical, utilitarian or economical know-how in the execution, hence the resistance. I think the democrats were a bit inaccurate in their criticism of the war (possibly a horrified, knee-jerk reaction to seeing a dubious christianist get 90% approval just for grandstanding and waving his dick) while the European disapproval is a result of distaste for the American government (memories of the Cold War, poor intelligence, poor planning) rather than an act of appeasing indigenous muslims. But, multi-culturalism isn't always the answer. Europe and America didn't get to where we are by bending over or just by raping other countries. We got there because our religion started flexing when humans wanted to stand on their own legs.

Islam is kind of a fake threat, though. There's nothing that can't be solved by sugerically removing the mullahs via education of the masses. You people seem to think the Arab world is just like us and capable of making decisions like us. They're not. We're basically dealing with the same shit they are- only the mullah's understand that their people are dumb and poor and destitute enough to accept the West as a full-time scapegoat. All this shit about "they hate our freedom" is lip service. They hate our riches and they would like it if they could at least share in half of what we have. And that's the truth.
