Terrorist attacks and the midterm elections

If there was a successful terrorist attack against the US in the weeks leading up to the elections, would this hurt or help the GOP?

Considering they're the party in power, it seems obvious that they would get blamed for it as it happened on their watch.

However I can also see them pointing the finger at democrats limiting their ability by restricting FISA and other orgs.

That really depends. It would help if it didn't give them time to seriously fuck things up before the polls.

It's funny, the Liberal Media (TM) was very quick to tell the public that the GOP wanted a swift retreat (like the dems) when in fact this is utterly false. They are trying to tie the reps to the popular opinion.

Any terriorist attack will help the Republican-led GOP. They'll just create scare tactics (WMD hooplah and other lies) just like they did with 9/11 to win votes. It's the only thing keeping them alive. I wouldn't be surprised if something does happen before election day and they'll use fear-mongering to win votes.

>>4 "Our tactics aren't expensive, useless and misdirected, it's the democrat-UN coalition that is preventing our policy from levelling up and being worth the expenditures!! And look - FAGS!!!!"

Democrat fear mongerring is aimed solely at minorities.
Republican fear mongerring is aimed at the entire population.

So the Republicans will win.

Don't change these.
