Gas Prices

Name: Anonymous 2006-08-28 22:14

We are funding Bush and the undesirables with our income through the purchase of gasoline. I propose that every one in the entire US stops driving for two days, or half a week. Make some rukus.

Better yet, buy a fuel efficient vehicle.

Name: Anonymous 2006-08-28 22:50

Sorry, I already get 35mpg. If you want me to get a 'better' vehicle then give me the money.

Oniggerbama continuing these oppressive policies.

Hey >>2 - Get a bicycle

Americans refuse to do that. So rising gas prices must ARSERAPE them.

35mpg is pretty poor.

oh boy, we like to own vehicles which don't collapse to nothing in an accident and can actually do something? What horrible people we must be!

Depends on what measures.  For some reason, dumb Americans use a gallon that's 20% less than a real gallon.  I get around 35 to a real gallon in a city that's full of fucking hills.  Long-distance, I can manage up to 60mpg.

SUV owners are at greater risk of an accident being fatal if the accident involves hitting something that is stationary, such as a wall or steel poll.

Trying to shock the system won't really do much good.  It actually turns out beneficial for oil companies in the long run.  Studies show that after people temporarily boycott gas they end up using more gas then before when they end their boycott.  The only real way a boycott would work is for it to be a real long lasting effort and there's no one organizing a mass political effort like that right now.

don't collapse to nothing

This does not appear to agree with your theory. I'd like to see a source that does.

can actually do something
Do what exactly? Do most people actually use their truck more than once a year for something that couldn't be done with a car?

Americans are totally stupid. They believe they are being safe in their huge gas hogs. They are only funding Arabs and corporate capitalists. Well, gas prices will remain permanently "high", and Americans will just have to start choosing between food and gasoline. Looking at how hugely fat Americans tend to be, that's a good start on fixing the American Problem.

Fatter in europe then in america.

Our problems come from the fucking socialists and traitors who want to take away our freedom/replace the white race with obedient sheep like negros/asians/arabs/mexicans, etc.

>>11
Some people do work regularly instead of taking the subway to an office job.

>>9
Some people can drive so they don't hit walls or steel poles.

>>10
Why would you want to stop using gas? How about america removes the socialist regulation which prevents mining and developing new oil deposits?

>>16 So gas is much higher in little countries like The UK, France, Poland, Germany, Japan etc - so what! where have they really got to go? You could fit the whole UK and Ireland inside of say, the state of Ohio - and still have room. Hey Eurofags - ever drive from New York to Chicago? Got any room where you are to raise cattle and grow corn? Are ya hungry?lol I'm sure I could ride a bicycle from the northern tip of Scotland to southern Wales. Equivalent to 8 bucks a gallon shouldn't be any sweat off your guys's nuts if you have any

Most of the people I know that own large SUVs barely travel outside the state they live in. It's nothing but waste for most.

Name: RedCream 2011-09-04 22:46

People were treating SUVs like the station wagons and vans of old, for a remarkably higher purchase price. That is all ending.

>implying that people don't drive across national borders
Also, if you want to do a long-distance cycle, the "Land's End to John O'Groats" run is popular with fundraisers.  Expect to take a fair while - the drive takes pretty much an entire day.

If you drive an suv in the city your a dipshit and an asshole.  Your bigass car pollutes the local air, causes more deadly crashes, and worst of all takes up way too much Fucking space.

So in a country suffering from enormous poverty the economy was shut down for a day to cater to a minority 0.01% of leftist middle class hipsters. Socialism is disgusting.

Bush isn't the President and doesn't run OPEC.

We eagerly await the appearance of "Haxus the Expanding".

You see, it is because he expands.

Don't change these.
