The Gun issue is a losing issue for the democrats.  If they don't change, rural america will continue to vote republican, and I will join them.

Write your democratic representatives and senators in office and tell them to change, for the sake of their own party.

This is the 2000 presidential election map of George W. Bush vs Al Gore, showing the results county-by-county accross the USA.

And, here's another county-by-county map, this one the most revealing, and the funniest, if you ask me.  Red is republican, and blue is democrat.  It shows very clearly that rural communities vote overwhelmingly republican, and cities tend to vote overwhelmingly democrat.  The map includes population density.

As you can see, the conclusion we can draw from this is that the democrats are generally losing the vote of rural-america.

As >>1 says, I blame this largely on the Gun Issue.  If you want the democrats to win, they are going to have to give massive ground to the Gun Rights folks, or else we (I am one of them) intend to continue to hand them defeats.

Write your democrats in office and tell them to stop supporting gun control, or the map will continue to look like that.  You can write them at the following locations:

Even if you don't give a shit about gun rights, you should do this for the sake of the democratic party, because it clearly has a lot to do with the losses the dems as a party have been experiencing over the last several years.

Because as long as there are dems willing to vote democrat to sacrifice my firearm freedoms so they can make smoothies and crop fertilizer out of fetuses, it warrants me voting Republican to counteract their assault on MY right to keep and bear arms.

With talk of an upcoming Civil War in America, against the 3rd World Nation of Mexico, Now those (the are in favor of the Illegal/Mexican Invasion), are wanting to take away guns from law abiding citizens.

Some how this doesn't seem right.  Take our guns away, the same weapons that are going to protect our families if and unfortunately, there is another civil war here.

Does it make sense.  Those that are willing to give the southwest back to Mexico are the same ones that want to take our guns away?????

Forget the constitution that gives all Americans the right to bear arms, right?

I guess since they are so willing to sell out America, its constitution, and its laws, it would be easy if we all just comply, give up our guns, that way it would be easier, when the fighting comes, for Mexico to take back America's Southwest.

I think you are jumping to some pretty ridiculous conclusions.  I can't see a war with mexico happening anytime soon.  This isn't to say I am against the second amendment by any means.  I support the 2nd amendment wholeheartedly, and intend to vote as such, don't worry there.

"We need to get guns off the national radar screen if Democrats are ever going to win again in the South and the West."

-Howard Dean, possible DEMOCRATIC candidate for 2008

Don't change these.
