The american economy wouldn't collapse if we weren't in Iraq and Afghanistan, it'd boom. All that wasted money? If we put that into our economy instead? Imagine if we just gave it out as a tax cut to the middle class. That's about 2500$ a head. With both parents accounted for, you could buy a nice used car, a cheap new car, or maybe a new car with some extra funds from the family. You could buy a few computers/household. Big screen TVs, game systems, pools, paved driveways, etc... the list goes on and on. If we had all that money circling through our economy instead of pissed away like it has been, our economy would boom and we'd have a higher standard of living.
