BT blocks /b/

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-17 12:09

British Telecom have blocked 4chans /b/ for me. Or more specificly automaticly redirects me to the ban page. Apparently BT are the first western democracy to filter traffic. They are trying to stop child pornography and all they are doing is imposing on my freedom to act like a complete /b/tard on the internet.

Im switching to another company that does not do this. Im for freedom of information. Information is neither good nor bad, its up to humans to judge that. By blocking child porn they are driving it even more underground, make it harder and harder to capture the criminals.

Oh /b/ whatever shall i do without you?

Actually i could set up a ssh tunnel to my server in germany and give that a go.

LOL? How is him viewing child porn on the net on par with 'murder'?

Since when was it considered 'ok' for the government to block the simple, peaceful, /viewing/ of anything?

Sure, freedom of speech/the press may not be in his bill of rights/constitution/whatever, but that doesn't mean the government committing censorship in any form is moral and just.

Maybe the police should be going after child molesters, and child pornographers instead of random losers on the net fapping to child porn?
