You should care because it's your money they are pissing away, folks.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 16:08

god only knows how much of our money the government wastes.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 19:09

The republicans are pro-foreign aid too, with the exception of a select few, like the one who happened to write that article (Congressman Ron Paul, R-TX)

Libertarians ftw.

it is your duty to support them.  how can you say it is too expesnive to take care them? you owe it to them as humans. it is the least you can do.

they are starving and you americans are driving around in your cadillacs and corvettes,

humanity is all interconnected and it is important that you help them out.  foreign aid money is a small portion of your taxes anyways.. you are a bunch of selfish assholes

None of us said it foregin aid shouldn't exist.  what we are saying is that giving the government control of foreign aid is a bad idea, it should be left to individuals as to how they aid others.

Just to clarify this... and correct me if I'm wrong, but PRIVATE foreign aid should exist.  That is, individual/private.  Not tax-supported in any way whatever.

It's especially stupid in light of this.  We are already in debt...hello...stop spending...dumb politicians.

Haw haw. I can't wait for the day when the US chokes in its own bullshit.

You are just saying that becuse it is their money and not yours.  And the US has the highest foreign aid in the world.  not just from taxes, but willing private contributions from the US are larger than government and private foreign aid from all of europe combined.

Stealing from the rich to give to the poor is still stealing.  Stealing is wrong.

Name: Xel 2006-06-23 9:51

When a percentage of american wealth is contributed to by corporations who are, for example, keeping Kongo-Kinshasa a veritable hell in order to make easy money, then all american citizens must indirectly ameliorate the situation. That is, technically, never stealing.

But you can't stop donating, America will look like an ass if it did.

Or stop saying the country is so frigging rich :D

Just admit it, it's turning into a 2th world country with extremly high class elite's.

Oh, I'm sorry.  What an asshole I must be for not giving you free money...

"Just admit it, it's turning into a 2th world country with extremly high class elite's."

I disagree.  The average american nowadays is living comparable lives to kings and dukes of centuries past.  (Wealth producing power of Capitalism at work.)

Anyway, while it is true that there is a rather large income gap, you should recognize the fact that the lower and middle income classes pay the vast majority of taxes.

Increases in taxes may hurt the rich more on an individual level, compared with your average lower class person, but collectively speaking, they hurt the middle and lower income classes a hell of a lot more.

The difference being they are not permitted to rape and execute their minions. When will capitalism permit me to do this? Huh? You can't stop me wanting to become the marxist dictator of the united states! I will have millions as my personal playthings soon enough.

lol free healthcare is the best. :D

plus fatties and smokers and such are going to have to pay tons o cash for keeping up the lifestyle. If well organised it's doable.

What's not acceptable is that people are losing their jobs and getting homeless because of crappy healthcare. Which is the case in ZE AMERICAS.

I know this guy who's spine was shot out by some madmen who literally walked into wal-mart and bought a rifle. He had insurance, but they paid off a judge using their greedy capitalist skills so he couldn't get any money, claiming that he hired the guy to paralyse him waist down in order to cash in on the insurance. He had to sell his home to pay for the doctor bills, but luckily was picked up by some christians. A few days after when he questionned the existence of god and told them he was a homosexual they threw him out and he died from the streeses of the recent operation, hypothermia and pneumonia, unable to crawl through the snow to find shelter.

What a lazy bum, he deserved it.

So jail the madman, what's the big deal?

". He had insurance, but they paid off a judge using their greedy capitalist skills so he couldn't get any money, claiming that he hired the guy to paralyse him waist down in order to cash in on the insurance."

Sure... and they payed off the whole jury too, eh?

Nobody has the "right" to a job.  Jobs are just payments for work given out by other private individuals.  Nobody has the "right" to force someone else to pay them for doing things if the other individual sees no value or personal interest in hiring the person.

The madman got away with it because he shot him from a distance so that no witnesses could see or accurately describe his next actions and he found a way to leave no forensic evidence whatsoever.

Juries use emotions to make the judgements, not reasonning facts and logic. The Judge was severely apologetic in support of the insurance company and the jury blindly followed, who objected whenever the man's lawyer was about to declare vital evidence. The lawyer was provided by the state and was too lowly paid to have any incentive to actually bother getting past the loop hole.

I believe that to be an outright lie.  I mean for starters most judges and lawyers are hardline liberals.  And even if they weren't,  Who would believe that someone would trust their friend to shoot them in the back, paralizing them, in the middle of a wal-mart, to collect insurance, AND they could actually get the friend to go along with it.  Any The case has solid circomstantial evidence to investigate the judge.  And trust me, if there was a civil case where a insurance agency was accusing someone of setting up getting shot in the back and paralized to collect insurance the media would be all the fuck over it.

He was white, so the media didn't care.

The insurance company should have been made to pay.  Just because they didn't, sure as hell does NOT mean I should.

Amen.

Don't change these.
