US EDUCATION LIES

Why do they do that?

The Boston Tea Party is a load of lies - it was smugglers who started the riots, and the corrupt officials.

Nothing to do with "freedom" bollocks.

think how better your life would be under UK

It was to prevent the East India Company from having a monopoly on tea and lowering prices to anti-competetive levels.  Only today we're too chickenshit to riot against Walmart.

Walmart party anyone?

Well, considering that the US is the single strongest nation in the world, then I don't think we did so badly not under UK's rule.

However, we obviously have flaws, and China is definately going to over take us economically, and our recent trip into the middle east is ruining us militarily (not with soldier deaths exactly, just spreading our military out thinly).

Also, I definately agree with schools and lies. Why would they talk about the "British are comming the British are comming!" guy like he is one person or that he actually said that?
Or neglect to mention that Chinese laborers mostly built our rail roads?

Just silly stuff like that. I don't know why they leave it out or lie about it. Meh.

any conservative country will lie about its history. Any conservative country will also lie abouts its very present existence now.

If you want truth, move to some small ultrasocialist Euro country where the truth isn't dangerous or important. You think small things like explaining how the railroads were built is nothing, but it adds up, it erodes nationalism and the finely tuned coma our state is in.

The boston tea party in short was  just one reaction against the british government, not because of higher taxes, because they weren't.

But it was due to the fact that the colonists didn't feel that the English parliament, etc.. had any rights period to make, any laws, regarding the new colonies.  And the colonist wanted to show that, once and for all.

It was an accumalation of many things, but to help with the party, the british officer, I beleive it was Gage, brought all the tea ships into boston to challenge the mobs that had formed.

While all the other tea ships were kept out of Boston by the English monarch.

In short, the ships came in, and the mobs, attacked the ships and there you have it, the Boston Tea Party.

What if you do have knowledge, but overlook it being mentioned in a history book.  You would assume the book doesn't deny anything, it just passes over it to save space.  The existence of the event is not called in to question.

To forget the past is even more dangerous than to lie about it.

There is no such thing as "past."

There is only "present." And you just missed it.

Don't change these.
