Soviet Union is not a great example of communism. It would still be here today and stronger than ever if Stalin had been killed at a very young age.

I think it's worth noting that most of the ways that economists gauge the success of an economy are largely based on how well-off the wealthier households and businesses are.  It's fairly biased in favor of a free-market.  IMO real libertarians are just college-educated punk anarchists.

Even under the weak socialism of the USSR it took a great effort to restore capitalism, and it was disastrous.

Now that is a stupid ass statment.  both are about wants and needs.  hell economics of every type are about wants and needs.    Capitalism doesn't equally distribute and never pretended to.  Communism tends to distribute an equal amount of nothing to everyone.(except for the leaders of course who have everything they need)  My problem isn't with the fantasy of everyone being equal, its a wonderful idea, the problem is if i do more work i tend to believe i deserve a little more than the person that didn't do as much.  and the problem that it requires absolute power for the govenment.  i don't trust the govenment.  hell, that is the most intelligent thing anyone can do is not trust the govenment,  it's what america was founded on.  Why should you trust the govenment with control over absolutely everything?   If ou can answer these problems i will allow this thread to continue without me, until then i will make sure you dumbasses see intelligent statements every-other post.

You are making a rather absurd assertion that communism is about equality. It is not. So don't accuse me of dumbass statements when you don't even know what you're talking about.

Communism is about eliminating the state--not making people subservient to it.

communism is about equal distribution of asset i thought, or at least that is the basic ideas.  how does communism eliminate state, when has communism eliminated state??  Was the Solviet union not an actual communist system because it still had a state.  And how do you equally distribut assets without a state to manage distribution.  The term for the elimination of state is called anarchy.
