why I love the West

it's because I couldn't exist in any other society. There is no way someone with my views, ideas and interests could develop outside of the western civilisation.

So, on one hand, I dispise a large segment of the west for being mindless, shallow, consumerist cunts (among other things), but at the same time I love it because it made me who I am and I depend on it. The few things that I like are products of the west, and all of the people I like are westerners at least by heart, if not geographical position.

It took me a long time to figure out why I would be willing to defend something that I, in general, don't really like, but this is why.

Why aren't other societies like the west then? Why don't they enter the age of reason? I think you hate the west and instead of adopting western values and moving on like countries like Jamaica and Japan are doing, you prefer to wallow in your own decomposing cultural faeces and whip yourself into a paranoid frenzy of hate never moving forward because that would involve doing things that people in the west have done.
