The Law

Why must laws be so complicated that you start having people that specialize in reading the law (ie lawyers)?

Shouldn't the language of the law be easy enough to be understood and  accessible to everyone in the country without having to pay someone to interpret for you?

No, I don't think that is true.  I think it is actually benificial for the goverment to have a very complicated leagal code.  This is doubly true for tax laws.

A complicated legal system allows government to give favors to their friends and screw over the ordinary citizen.
