The Law

Why must laws be so complicated that you start having people that specialize in reading the law (ie lawyers)?

Shouldn't the language of the law be easy enough to be understood and  accessible to everyone in the country without having to pay someone to interpret for you?

The problem is that laws have to be extremely precise.  Normal vernacular is vague and ambiguous and heavily context-dependent, and if laws were like that, people would be doing all kinds of crazy shit that may or may not be against the law, depending on how you read it.
