The humanity

If you could eliminate 90% of all war, disease, starvation, pollution, and other problems, and allowed human population to increase unhindered until the world was over 10-12 billion people, would you?  Would it be worth it, knowing that there is potential for even greater loss of life from mass starvation, disease, lack of resources, or war on a much larger scale?

Not necessarily true. Yes, there was a boom in population in the last 50-100 years, but look at the current child-bearing generation. Most have only one or two children, many adopt, and some choose not to have children at all. I don't see a reason to believe that this trend will not continue.
