Craigslist got in trouble for carrying ads for property where the owner had discriminatory requirements such as the buyer having to be Muslim, White, etc.
I know it's fucked up, but honestly I like the idea of being able to do that. At university there are ads all over campus for rooms to rent, and they very clearly say you have to be female, or Chinese, or whatever the other person wants. Sure they aren't selling property, but they want people of their own type with them for the duration.
Likewise for selling houses, that idea sounds good. I'm sure we've all had the experience into moving into a nice neighborhood with one bad group fucking it up (like one white trash family to tip the balance) and I have seen many places start off nice, but then get a huge influx of black or Latino people and go downhill. No, that's not racist, it's just the truth.
I know it would never work perfectly and good people would get fucked out of getting a home, but I'm tired of living along side really dumb or really poor people. Case in point, right now my Mexican neighbor is playing bottle-dodge with his wife. She always loses as you can guess. If it was any other group (white, Asian, etc.) or older, more mature people I don't think I'd be hearing so much broken glass. :-)
