Its good to see an american that knows what he's talking about. The only reason asia is rising above the US is cause the US is because socially, the US has made very little progress after WW2 compared to asia. Admittedly science has come a long way, but people still cling on to ancient morals and old styles, whereas to a Chinese guy, its whatever works best, morals and beliefs come last.

This is kinda creepy, because i assure you with the average Chinese mentality, that's exactly whats going to happen. Its happened as long as history has recorded, EVERYTHING near china has been sinicized, and even today our most enlightened scholars still consider our non-chinese neighbours to be inferior. Your only hope is that the mainlanders stop being so Nationalistic, but i'm afraid that probably won't happen before its too late.
