In 2050 Hispanics will be the majority in US?

I've read a couple of predictions in yahoo news stories that they expect hispanics to be the marjority in the US in aproximately 2050.

Could this be true?

How would it affect the US culture?

Is the upper class (Bush, etc) doing a cut and burn (spending everything and taking everything that isn't nailed down) in preparation for this?

It is good time to blame the USA's immigration policy and let's look at Canada's policy towards immigration. Even many Americans think Canadian immigration policy is better than the American counterpart.
