Why iraq's people kill soldiers

U.S. and U.K. release iraq's people from suppression.
But iraq's people kill soldiers of U.S. and U.K.
Why?

Religion just served as an excuse for many wars. If religion hadn't been used they would have come up with something else in its stead.
