Americans just keep whining about others being mean to them. Grow up bitches! US of A isn't giving jack shit compared to it's wealth and size. Hell, Spain alone gives twice what USA gives. Whining bitches.
Snooty snoot on you, uncultured beasts.

If you're done equating governments with people, maybe now is a good time to stop trolling the thread.

It's probably more about where the US chooses to intervene and where it doesn't. And until Bush openly started throwing US weight around a lot of people didn't think much either way about the it.

It doesn't help that the US government continues to persist asking other governments for troops when they've been told "no" by the same people the previous few dozen times.

States act in their own self-interest. But that doesn't stop people disliking them.

We are giving 350 million... FAR MORE than I think is neccary and we can afford.

I hope you twits are happy, though I'm betting the argument will now be "omg they do it NOW dat we prezzurd dem lolz day flip floperz".

I'm sorry, but common sense, even in world4ch, is going to be lacking because the average 4channer lacks much maturity. /b/ is example enough.

Tell you what we'll do. We'll completely cut off our aid for five years. Not one crumb of food. Not one penny in money. Nothing what so ever.

At the end of that five years, I'll be more than happy to let you and anyone else kiss my ass as you BEG us to do even half of what we do now. We provide more than half of all the aid in the world. If you combined the aid every single country in the world provides it won't even come close to matching what just the United States gives.

Jealous much? Yeah, It hought so.

We are now talking about Five Million homeless.
The croc's are now feasting on the dead on Sumatra.
And in the most disgusting thing I've heard so far, reportedly Colin Powell is gonna tour.
And he's taking Jeb FUCKIN" Bush with him?
Just like them to see a chance to groom Bush III.

Yes, but we now provide it soley where it gives advantage to the Bush regimes Agenda.  Thailand?  No problem.  Sri Lanka?  That's OK cuz it's pretty.  Civil war?
Indonesia (sic)?  Where the greatest horrors are?  The largest Muslum population on the planet (well USED to be anyway)?  Time will tell but Shrub's track record is against him.

Lastly—for now—how many rebuilding contracts gonna go "no-bid" to..... ?

Yes because we all know that there's an 'agenda' in giving aid to people who need it. It couldn't possibly have anything to do with the fact that everyone from one end of the political spectrum to the other took one look at this situation and said "What can we do to help?"

But you're so blinded by your hate that you have to not see reality in front of you. Most of the world is helping those people, and there's no "agenda" involved in it.

As for the "no bid", let me ask you something. You hire somebody to fix your car, and they do a good job... So where do you go next time? Do you search each and every shop each time you get your car fixed or do you return to the same one again and again?

Now that you understand why the Pentagon has "no bid" contracts now you get to ponder the complexities of working out a huge contract with a new company each and every time you need one. The reason the Pentagon gave Haliburton a "no bid" contract is because they have a standing relationship that goes back a long way.

Was there anything else you wanted me to teach you?

I heard that America was giving something like 20 million originally. The UK at the same time gave 15 million from the government and 10 million already from random individuals and businesses. America then realised that it was looking pretty bad to be giving only around the same as the UK, a smaller country, and multiplied it by ten.

Hopefully this will make America seem more generous in the public eye, especially in the middle east, and mean that there will be less money for America to wage war with.

"Most of the world is helping those people, and there's no "agenda" involved in it."
And for most of the world, you are correct. That also goes for most Americans.  A local pizza place was on the news tonight for donating todays' proceeds to relief.  I happened to drive by half an hour later and there was a line around the block and its 28F at the moment.
But if the Bush regime has no agenda then why send Jeb?  Because of his disaster management skills?
Any 4channers from Florida care to comment on that?

"As for the "no bid"..."
Perhaps I've been a little hasty here.  Perhaps the contracts will be local (as much as possible), perhaps Haliburton will do whatever at cost.  Perhaps.

Lastly, why yes—there is much you can teach me for I am known as one "Less Apt".  For one thing, I fail at having the utter faith you seem to possess in the corporate state.  What do you know that I do not?  I'm confused as to which of us is blind.
