James Randi Educational foundation

On March 30th, Youtube decided to suspend the account of the James Randi Educational foundation located on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/user/JamesRandiFoundation . This is not the first time Youtube has acted rashly against skeptics on their site and It's rather appalling to see an organization dedicated to education and rationality being targeted for no clear reason.

Don't blame youtube. They were responding to complaints by Christians who consider Randi offensive.

Randi may be a skeptic, but he's a con artist first.  Remember his "million dollar prize" if you can prove some hoodoo BS to him?  Well, it turns out the "prize" is a million dollars worth of ownership in the "Randi foundation" that you can't actually own, that you can't sell, and isn't worth anything to begin with.

I don't think that makes him a con artist, since he didn't really get any money out of it. Youtube needs to stop listening to Fundies and allow people to question religion.

No, you didn't.  Randi is not a scientist, nor does he have any scientific credentials. The bank statement has nothing to do with the contract you sign, in which you must let Randi use the meeting any way he wants to for press reasons, and you have to agree to accept the form of payment he gives you. Sure, he probably did have a million dollars in his accounts at some point, for some reason.  Money is not part of the contract you sign.

I'm not calling skeptics bad people. However, if you promise a scientific examination, you damned well better back up your examination with more than just the people you pay to agree with you.
