If we look at it analytically, if we look at it historically, we quickly find out exactly what it is. Political Correctness is cultural Marxism. It is Marxism translated from economic into cultural terms. It is an effort that goes back not to the 1960s and the hippies and the peace movement, but back to World War I. If we compare the basic tenets of Political Correctness with classical Marxism the parallels are very obvious.

As the UK's society becomes more culturally and racially diverse, certain holiday periods must reflect that same diversity. You can still celebrate Christmas during the "winter festival" period. Nobody's stopping you. The point is that nobody's forcing you to, either.

Winter festival on the other hand has no religious connotations. Winter is obviously the English word for December through February, and festival is derived from old shit meaning "feast."

Winter is too inclusive and discriminatory to non-native English speakers. We need to come up with a new word for it that includes all races and religions. Infact, capitalizing the word English is also offensive to non-english people, since it makes it look superior. We need to be more culturally sensitive.

Every school in America has already replaced Christmas vacation with "winter break;" not because Christmas is illegal and saying anything Christian on PUBLIC property (which schools are) is illega, but because the ACLU approx. ten years ago went around threatening to hit every school in America with costly lawsuits to force the ACLU agenda onto them.
