BAN TASERS!

Q: Why are Poles dumb?
A: Poles aren't really dumb. Actually Vancouver is unsafe for mad Poles.

Case in point: a 40 yr old guy was stuck on the other side of Customs due to the great training they get combined with no easy way for the guy to get in contact with his 61 yr-old mom.

So son spends ten hours waiting for his mommy, has a temper tantrum due to great training by Customs in welcoming a new immigrant to Canada, and finally within 24 seconds of meeting with police, is tasered and dies due to trauma caused by the act, plus two RCMP officers.

The reason why they tasered him? He spoke only Polish, and was agitated due to the great training by Customs.

Customs knew he was from Poland, but could not speak Polish and figured his mom would meet up with her son.

But she spent five hours looking for him.

Then she went home.

And as she found out her son was found and was alright until the cops tasered him to death.

Hopefully the lawyer representing her gets this lawsuit going because her son is not going to look after her.

Moral of story: there is none, but if there was it'd be:

CUSTOMS SHOULD HAVE THE NUMBERS TO ETHNIC GROUPS IN CASE THE NEW IMMIGRANTS CAN'T SPEAK ENGLISH.

Another moral is:

BAN TASERS.

but i like my taser... $600 well spent

BANTASERS would be a good idea.. a bit moar range than a BANHAMMER....

How about when you see the cops go for ANYTHING on their belt, cool off quick.  Though unless there were physical threats to the officers I can't think why they would have thought a taser necessary.  Usually they just go with the old tackle the shit out of you.

However, tasers are often used in place of a gun.  No tasers would mean a lot more fatal shootings.  The officers need to be trained that tasers can also be lethal, and should be used only when it would otherwise mean lethal force was needed.
