i believe in a power beyond our own, but the god you talk about is not what he seems to be. if you haven't noticed every era god changes. medieval times god would smite you, this was so the church had the power to make people conform from fear of being in hell, now they've had to make god different, people now are smarter they won't follow a god who smites people
