There are almost as many Chinese internet users as American ones.
Except China still has 80% of its population to hook up to the internet, far outnumbering Americans even if we were all INTERNET EXPERTS.
In 20 years, the Chinese will be everywhere. They'll penetrate into foreign sites, with their godless heathen language.
Imagine this: You're on 4chan. You make a post, 5 Chinese people disagree with you. Half the boards and forums are full of Chinese, with their strange foreign memes and pop culture.
Americans, being confident and short-sighted, envision an English speaking internet for the future. But in reality the Internet will be dominated by China with sheer numbers.

I have a different theory about the way this is going to play out.
Quite frankly, the Chinese are not as interested in Western InternetZ as you believe. On this matter, they don't really have a CHOICE(thank you Great Firewall) but inside it, they have their own versions of Facebook, Google, Twitter. Not only that, but it's ALL IN CHINESE. So even if you wanted to, YOU CAN"T UNDERSTAND WHAT THE FUCK THEY"RE SAYING.
DO you get it? In the future, there's not going to be One Internet. It's going to be an internet DIVIDED along the lines of language & culture.

lol all that will happens is they will make much of the west online, especially America, look like a bunch of fucking fools for not having the brain power to be multilingual.
