540BCE - The Persians conquer the Babylonian empire, and Israel.
330BCE - Alexander the Great conquers the Persian Empire.
320BCE - Alexander dies.
320 - 30 BCE - EVERYBODY OWNS ISRAEL AT SOME POINT DURING THIS PERIOD. LIKE, EVEN THE VIKINGS AND THE GODDAMN ESKIMOS DID AT SOME POINT. THE JEWS DON'T KNOW WHAT THE FUCK.
60BCE - Rome (no modern equivalent) invades.
60BCE - 130 CE - Lots of revolution, etc, Jews try to get rid of the Romans, etc. Romans finally crush the rebellion, and to humiliate the Jews they rename the area 'Palestine' after the group of people called 'Phillistines' (no modern equivalent). From then on the region was known as Palestine.
