A whole lot of the really, really bad people in the world, at one point or another started killing Jews.

The Arab dictators, otherwise famous for oppressing their people and squandering the oil that is their irreplaceable blessing, are also notable for their near-universal desire to destroy the Jews. One of the leaders of the initial War of Independence later went to join the Nazis killing Jews in the Balkans. Now how is that supposed to regain Palestine?
If you are of a religious persuasion - which most of you probably are not - but if you are, you might conclude that Satan still has it in for the Jews, because a) they're God's original chosen people, and b) they produced Jesus, and Satan never forgot that.
Either way, a loathing/murderous inclination towards the Jews in the powerful is usually a sign of other unhealthy ideas lurking beneath the surface. Watch out for it.

Oh wait, no, that's not possible, because nowhere on earth has the same ethnic/cultural group ever lived in the one place continuously. Are you American? Wow, your ancestors robbed the local indians of their land (not to mention butchered them) over the last 400 years, and possibly more recently depending on where in America you live. Are you European? Most likely there has been some major change in the boundaries of your country/state in recent history; there are almost certainly minorities within your state who are only present because of this, and that's not to mention the fact that the ethnic/cultural make-up of Europe differs radically from even a few centuries ago.
Does the fact that shit happened a long time ago make it any different? No, it doesn't. The Palestinians wank on and think they are so special and oh-so tragic, but that's a bunch of horse-shit. They're just losers, just like the Jews were losers before them and other people will continue to be losers long after their culture has disappeared (as all cultures eventually do). If they want to change things, let them fight for it; I don't have to feel sorry for what is an essential part of human evolution- social darwinism. Strong societies succeed and weak societies fail, and the human race benefits as a whole as the societies best able to survive and adapt stay on.
Don't think for two seconds that the third world etc wouldn't fuck us over given half a chance; they would, and gladly. And anyway, forced to pick between a country that votes Islamic fundamentalists into power (Hamas), and a westernised state which doesn't instinctively hate our guts, I honestly don't have to search my soul for two long to know which side of the line I'll be on when push comes to shove.
