Forget 2006; we're living in 1984

Big Brother is always watching us. Yet we continue to just ignore it and pretend it's not there. Heck my mother cheers them on because of the now rampant 'hoodies' or disaffected, parents don't give a fuck, off the rails, drug taking, drunk every night, kids who will come up and stab you for that tenner in your wallet.

Soon, Big Brother will indoctrinate them. Then they'll enforce for Big Brother. They'll always be watching.

I live in Britain - and I hate the 'surveillance society' we have here.  There is a ray of hope though, which is that groups of people have started destroying or otherwise decomissioning cameras in the last couple of years.  Admittedly at the moment it's only the speed cameras, but hopefully that will spread to all types of  surveillance devices.

That's cause when UK and other Eurofag countries do it it's apparently not as bad when US does it. Nice to see people finally waking up worldwide. It's not only US that has 1984 problem, but rather almost whole western world.

Yes, but crucially our laws protect us from the abuse of our surveilence society. Yours no longer do. I'm not happy about being on camera almost everywhere I go, but at least I know that only my public life can be legally observed without the involvement of higher authorities. The draconian laws passed in the U.S. recently mean that this is not the case there.

Observing someone on public property is one thing; invading their personal privacy is another.

Does who seek to remove privacy and freedom in the name of safety deserves neither privacy nor freedom.

I can't remember who said that but it sure is true. Fucking Blair.

And now Sweden is going in the same direction. fucking western world society

The more complex a network, the easier it is to take out.

By the end of 2007 all UK ISP's will have to use cleanfeed to block illegal websites that advocate thoughtcrime.
