Ok, they might have a little crisis when it comes to their identity (romano-celts, just celts, anglo-saxons, danes just saxons, other germanic tribes, roman auxiliaries rome sent there) but JEWS ?

In ancient times they considered themselves as noble celts fighting the romans.
In arthurian legends (when the anglo-saxons invaded the land) they consideres themselves as noble romano-celts or just romans.
A few centuries later they consideres themselves as noble anglo-saxons fighting the normans arrived.
Damn there was even a time when they thought of themselves as danes fighting saxons.
After that they felt beeing very french-like (got a king who lived in france most of the time and who gave a french fuck about britain).

OK, such things *can* happen...
But wtf causes people to consider themselves as jews ?

The Bible is not 100% fiction. For instance, Jesus is not a fictional character; we know this because we have Roman records (as well as others) which prove he existed. Did he turn water into wine? Probably not, most likely he took a drunken piss in the barrels when the wine 'ran out' (i.e. Jesus and his cronies drank it all) and passed it off as wine, because they shit they drank was piss anyway.

But of course, thats pure speculation. You have no proof that all (or indeed any) of what is described in the bible is untrue, and there is definite proof that some of it is true.
