So... what is Al-Anshori saying?  His rebuke to claims that Islam is a violent religion is to say that Islam cannot be a peaceful religion?  That to embrace islam is to embrace the evil that is jihad?
He then compares it to the Trinity, which is a way to understand the 3 natures of transcendality of God.  "The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit".

The Catholic church WAS violent many years ago. Catholics and other denomonations are now committed to spreading charity and healtcare to the world's poor- and not requiring conversion to qualify. Muslims are a throwback to the middle ages. They kill those that will not convert. They remind me of Romulins.

No, Islam just lost its progression right after the golden age. After the golden age, it became stricter and less free. This is the time they lose to Hinduism... even till today.
