On that note, your perception of the Dalai Lama as a "peacelover" and "spiritual leader" is counter-acted by his involvement as an insurgent and puppet for the US government in fighting guerilla warfare against the Chinese.

And he ain't no saint. Pre-1959, Tibet ran a feudal government system. That is, the Lamas were the "royalty", and everyone else were the serfs. Apparently, the Lamas lived in huge 1000 room palaces, which employed a plethora of slaves.

I bet you've got one of those "free tibet" stickers on the side of your truck. Culture fads always pick up the weakest of them all.
Come on dude, if it's cool in Hollywood to be pro-tibet, it must be correct. I mean, even Pearl Jam is behind it!
